Joe Fox Selected as Grand Leprechaun of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin is pleased to announce the selection of Joe Fox as the 2026 Grand Leprechaun. Former City of Dublin grand leprechauns selected Fox in recognition of his commitment to the Dublin community and his exceptional leadership of the Miracle League of Central Ohio. As Grand Leprechaun, Joe will lead the City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14.

Joe and his wife, Susan, have lived in Dublin for 31 years and are the parents of four adult children with 10 grandchildren.

Joe Fox worked in Dublin for more than 25 years as a chemist in research and development for Ashland Chemical, serving the company from 1994 to 2020. He remains active in the chemical industry as president of FX Consulting and sits on several advisory boards.

For the past 17 years, Joe has dedicated his time and heart to the Miracle League of Central Ohio, a baseball league for children and young adults with special needs that play each summer at Darree Fields in Dublin. Beginning as a volunteer announcer and later serving as league director for 15 years, Joe has helped grow the league from eight teams to 22. The league celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025 and has impacted nearly 1,000 players from across Central Ohio. With the support of more than 400 volunteers each season, Joe takes pride in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. Each season is made especially memorable by the smiles on players’ faces and the tradition of singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” together every Saturday.

Dublin’s Irish spirit will be on display as more than 90 participants travel from Metro Place through Historic Dublin for the Greenest, Grandest Parade sponsored by Ohio Health. Be part of the fun and submit a parade application or volunteer behind the scenes. For more information on the 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Parade, visit DublinOhioUSA.gov.
